I love this location. It was close to where our son lives. The hotel is older but I felt in good condition. It has good bones and it was clean. If you want an expensive hotel, there are plenty around but this one is very affordable. Most of sf does not have air conditioning and there was a fan included in room. There was maid service everyq day. Bed was made and new towels put out.The fixtures all worked and plenty of outlets. There is a starbucks down a couple stores to the right. There is a jack in the box on other corner. A pinecrest diner (which always had a line and was quite delicious) on other corner and across the street are 2 theatres.

it was quaint and quirky. it’s not the fanciest hotel by any means, but it is clean and had a lot of character. it’s an older building and was great location for what I was in town for. there are many places to stay around this area and honestly super stoked I stayed here actually compared to the run of the mill places. I had zero issues staying here. I mean you cannot control what is on the outside and I never felt unsafe staying here. I would stay again. the staff was super friendly and helpful.

The concierge people (I spoke to 2) at the front desk were extremely nice and helpful - over the phone prior to booking the room, and also in person when I arrived. The filtered water station where you can fill up your water bottle for free was also great. And you can't beat the location - walking distance to Union Square and Embarcadero, etc. Last, the room was quaint, spotless, and in great condition.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. It’s close to Union Square and BART stations, and is easy walking distance to Chinatown, North Beach, and SoMa. There are lots of great eating options nearby. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming, especially Hansel on the front desk during the week. I found the Wi-Fi to be excellent. My room was very comfortable and housekeeping were attentive.

The hotel is in a great location, yes there are some homeless around but that is San Francisco in general, they leave you to it. It is minutes away from places like ChinaTown and about 20 minutes walk to the seafront (or less), plenty of places to eat and drink. San Francisco is an incredibly expensive city, so the price is actually very reasonable. I would stay here again.
